Michelle Jackson
Michelle L. Jackson was born in Tyler, Texas and was raised in Quitman, Texas. After graduating from high school, Michelle attended the University of Texas at Dallas where she majored in Public Administration and graduated Cum Laude in 2005. She then obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2009 from Texas Tech's School of Law. While Michelle was in law school, she participated in the Innocence Project of Texas Clinic, where she investigated claims of innocence by inmates after they have exhausted all direct appeals. Prior to joining Shackelford, Hawkins & Searcy, P.C. in April 2011, she was an Assistant Public Defender at the Bowie County Public Defender's Office in Texarkana, Texas.
